  • Current boundary: Castle Rannek has been recaptured, Sebastian Argras has returned, and the force controlling Stacy released its hold. Sandor subsequently returned dishevelled during the court wizards’ siege. He fought for the defenders and saved Trajan by overextending his magic. He survived and is recovering from exhaustion in his room. His survival and whereabouts are settled; how he escaped captivity and control is not. Do not assume Angel’s breaking of Mallow’s bonds explains Sandor’s escape. Kethbjorn is the recovered survivor whose entire face was badly injured and restored with Sister Pira’s help; his identity is no longer uncertain. The court wizards’ recovery accounting remains open. Not all forty-eight missing people are accounted for, nor are the stolen codes explained. Treat the missing as possible victims of deception, coercion, or abduction rather than presume treachery, but do not turn that stance into a GM guarantee. The carriage trail, the Lord’s Judgment, and Kethbjorn’s role remain leads rather than established answers. One missing guard reappeared as an apparent arsonist. Trajan found two more Face-Stealers inside the castle; neither event explains the wider disappearances or proves the remaining command structure secure. Do not assume Uther has been replaced or personally issued Lance’s recall.

  • Current boundary: Hedwig’s retrieval of the ship and its remaining captives will succeed; its outcome is not an open rescue question. The children’s return and possible elven assistance remain follow-up, not completed diplomacy or promised aid. The group raised the risk that the elves might perceive the proposal as exchanging their children for help. The anonymous harbor survivors do not acquire an identity hook merely because they remain unnamed. These boundaries do not close the court-wizard accounting or the investigation into the captives’ exploitation.

    • What exact fleshcraft mechanism let him reproduce or wear studied faces, and how did he obtain true seeing?
    • How did the Castle Malthrek intervention force him to accelerate the Rannek attack?
    • Where is his remaining self-disassembling dungeon puppet, and is it active in the region?
    • Did he direct the recent disappearances and southeast trail, or is another operator involved? Interviews with recovered court wizards or further Reformists found in the field could establish the wider chain of responsibility; those interviews have not yet settled it.
    • Who accepted the bargain through which Mallow was surrendered as a child, and was his Rumplestiltskin allusion pointing to a hag rather than a literal figure from the tale?
    • Was Mallow using his Dragonheart and Maidenfeld descent to claim kinship with the Maidenfelds, and if so, toward what end?
    • What is Mallow’s exact connection to the Maidenfelds and Dragonhearts, and could a curse tied to those blood relations persist despite Angel’s intervention?
    • Did Crispin know about his forgotten Dragonheart cadet branch by age ten, or was that knowledge lost with his later memories? That ancestry appears to have driven his incorporation of Auraxx.
    • Could the surviving-curse possibility relate to the Dragonheart legendarium’s repeated dragon-slaying claims? The connection, origin, and mechanism remain unestablished.
    • Did adult Mallow believe incorporating Auraxx would relieve a curse, or was it revenge against dragons he blamed for causing it? Both motives remain possibilities, not established beliefs; neither would prove that dragons actually caused the curse.
    • Was the Trammel Town route bait in a two-front operation, and did Mallow direct both routes?
  • Current boundary: Crispin is a human fleshcrafter and displaced Dragonheart, not an ancient dragon, cambion, or Face-Stealer. His “taking on faces” is physical fleshcraft, and the Gilded Anatomy is a counterfeit dragon form built around stolen Auraxx tissue. His involvement in the Mark-shaped golem is confirmed. Lotan’s memories established that Mallow held Uther, the real Kethbjorn, Sandor, and court wizards captive, but did not establish responsibility for all forty-eight disappearances or the southeast trail. Resolving the Uther rescue and Mallow confrontation does not close that wider investigation. Sapphire and Andrew remain in the field investigating the Reformists independently of that rescue thread. Recovered court wizards and any further Reformists found remain possible sources of in-game corroboration, not completed testimony. Angel’s blood broke Mallow’s fey deals and curses, immediately causing those under his control to pass out before his transformation. Auraxx’s boon then returned him to age ten with his memories up to that age retained and later memories removed. He is now under Angel’s care; neither his age nor his memory cutoff remains a confirmation question. His earlier escalation may reflect a larger Reformist operation, a genuine loss of control, or both. His prior assignment to recover Angel’s Emerald Shield shards is confirmed, but its wider consequences remain open. A surviving bloodline curse remains a possibility, not a settled effect or mechanism. Justin Pasteur’s blindness offers a comparison: Sapphire’s blood restores his sight only temporarily without permanently ending his inherited curse. That precedent does not establish that Mallow bears the same curse or explain either curse’s mechanism.

Stacy Cartwright and Auraxx

    • How complete is Stacy’s recovery after Sister Pira and Gwyniviere’s surgery, and are any remaining difficulties residual magical effects or responses to trauma?
    • What will be done with the preserved viable grafts and Gwyniviere’s anatomical sketches?
    • Is the healing pool a moon well, and what protections or travel properties does the site have?
    • How did Mark acquire the gold canary, what did he know about Auraxx, and how did the figurine pass from him to Stacy?
    • Where is Mark now?
    • Who cursed Auraxx, and was the curse-maker connected to whoever foresaw or studied the Realm Bridge?
    • What properties does the damaged canary retain now that Auraxx’s soul has been freed?
    • What explains the power of Angel’s celestial blood and prayer? The mechanism remains unexplored.
    • What does “a life must end” require, and might Mallow retain an underlying curse despite Angel’s intervention? Neither that curse’s existence nor its removal is settled.
  • Current boundary: Stacy remains alive and has awakened. Sister Pira and Gwyniviere spent hours removing the scale-bearing skin, enlarged claw, and intestinal extensions while healing her between procedures. The surgery settles the broad question of whether the incompatible grafts can be removed without killing Stacy. Their efforts may have removed the control itself; remaining trauma responses must not be treated as proof of a surviving magical controller. Her full recovery remains open. Greater Restoration had earlier cleared Stacy’s mind without restoring bodily control, while a Ring of Mind Shielding produced no observable change; neither result proves that the ring cured, blocked, or permanently prevented the control. Auraxx’s dismantled body cannot be restored or revived, but Angel’s celestial blood and prayer freed his soul. Continued soul-imprisonment in the canary was never established in play. Its inability to become a dragon may have indicated that it no longer held the soul; this is a possible clue, not proof. The release does not settle every underlying curse on Mallow, the meaning of “a life must end,” or the canary’s remaining properties.

    • How should the Hicklanders who followed controlled leaders be treated, and how will their individual responsibility be established?
    • What treatment, restraint, and accountability are appropriate for formerly controlled people? This remains open for the table to explore if it chooses; no disposition has been settled.
    • Which Hickland for Hicks cells, churches, road guards, military posts, and settlements have been compromised?
    • Who resumed the black-powder network and is supplying the Maiden’s Field forces with weapons, equipment, and explosives?
    • Who can open credible negotiations with the Hicklanders while Kelthyr remains in Thrantorbury?
    • Who warned Tyrion Donmar from Admiralty’s Helm, and how broadly was naval command compromised?
    • Where is the real Marshal Kilkenny, and had he already been replaced when the investigation into Father Charles Renaldi was redirected?
    • What additional screening can detect other shapeshifters, coerced personnel, forged identities, and mundane traitors?
    • Do any impostors or constructs remain within Castle Rannek, the Admiralty facility, or nearby command structures?
    • What do the Admiralty facility’s academy-built magical protections actually do, and how can Castle Rannek’s surveillance and defenses be adapted against copied identities?
    • Can the reconnaissance team’s brewery-and-merchant cover remain credible as it approaches Maiden’s Field without drawing Andrew’s family into the danger?
    • Who specifically authorized the 1,000-gold bounty on Kelthyr Kulok, and why? Tyrion reported that Maiden’s Field issued it. Kelthyr’s connection with the local Hicklanders is a plausible justification, not a confirmed or necessarily complete explanation; the authorizer, motives, and wider implications remain open.
    • Are the Maidenfelds guarding a hidden magical site, or only their spice monopoly and other material interests?
    • How truthful is the Baron’s account that the submarines primarily conceal the spice source and that the family has been acting against the Reformists despite withholding information?
    • Who from the military establishment will accompany Hellion on the Paprika investigation? He made his intention to accept clear at the meeting but cannot undertake it alone. Terms and personnel in charge also remain to be settled before formal acceptance.
    • What does the exclusion of the Children of the Crone imply about their connection to Baba Yaga? The restriction works against them despite their asserted distinction. This challenges their thesis, but does not settle whether Baba Yaga is a title or how that connection is recognized. GM context: The provisional formulation is “Children of the Baba Yaga are not allowed to enter any Maidenfeld demesne”. This wording is not canon and may change. The intended scope includes all Seneran hags, including the Children of the Crone; it is not established party knowledge of the exact bargain. Continued identification with a Baba Yaga remains a possible explanation even if Baba Yaga is a title.
  • Current boundary: Both immediate battles were over before the September 12 formal inquiry. The inquiry itself remained unfinished at the session’s end. The Paprika investigation will proceed, and Hellion intends to accept; his military companions remain undecided. Other proposals, including repair assignments, were not finalized. The need to contact an elven community was established, but the means and any resulting aid remained open. Do not confuse convening the meeting with completing its deliberations. Maidenfeld ownership of the advanced submarines, including the one aboard MS Paprika, is acknowledged; MS means Maidenfeld Ship. The Baron identified secrecy of the spice source as their primary purpose and defended the family’s claimed opposition to Reformist activity. These are attributed explanations, not verified motives, allegiance, or proof of a larger secret. Mallow-controlled people and sailors aboard the Paprika establish his involvement, not the family’s full hijacking account or the absence of inside assistance. Uther invoked Western Fleet authority as its commanding admiral. The Maidenfeld account may be true, false, or partly true; this unresolved credibility is not merely an editorial gap to be filled. Most attackers at Castle Rannek were Mallow-controlled, with only a few actual Reformists. Once the controlled attackers shut down, those acting with agency fled or were captured. At Maidenfeld Keep, Nick of Bede seemed controlled; his forces were demoralized or otherwise quelled once he was out of commission. Apparent control neither proves his innocence nor establishes willing Reformist allegiance or another identity. The Bede betrayal and the disposition of Hicklanders who followed controlled leaders remain unresolved consequences. The end of these battles does not end the wider Reformist threat. Donmar commands the western facility, but most regular troops remain deployed toward Maiden’s Field. Andrew and Sapphire’s team maintained its cover through Kurtis and continued toward Maiden’s Field rather than launching a general assault. Earlier reports framed the fighting mainly as Hicklanders against the Maidenfelds, not against House Rannek as a whole, while Reformist exploitation remains suspected. Anatomical screening can positively identify Face-Stealers; passing it does not prove loyalty or exclude other forms of infiltration. The unexplained magical energy initially detected at the facility was later accounted for by emergency healing supplies; the wider academy-built protections remain unexplained.

Maidenfeld Spice Trade and the Kurtis Merchants

  • Current boundary: The merchants hope to exploit the Maiden’s Field crisis to break the Maidenfeld spice monopoly. Some Fructarians elsewhere supported Reformists, but neither these merchants nor the Fruit Merchants Guild as a whole are established as Reformist-aligned. Maidenfeld control of Herb of the Harem imports does not prove that the family supplied the Kurtis revelry.

  • Current boundary: Reformist infiltration, food contamination, parasite implantation, organ harvesting, and exploitation of political divisions are established. An elder brain, extraplanar invasion, and unified aberrant mastermind remain theories. The Elder Brain threat strengthens that line of inquiry but does not establish the speaker’s identity or Sapphire’s explanation. Reports that the green liquid transforms victims into aberrations do not yet settle its ingredients, process, or whether it acts directly.

  • Current boundary: The basement used magical influence, drugs, and sexual exploitation, and two parasitized Reformists were captured and extracted. Pablito remained committed to Reformism while partly disconnected from his parasite, but that does not settle every participant’s knowledge or allegiance. Cupbearer is an established Reformist office; the expected Cupbearer was not identified as Lady Veyne, the captives’ mistress, or anyone else. Claims of Church sanction and devotion to the Angel of Delight were not verified.

  • Current boundary: Do not treat Malthrek survivor logistics as fully resolved until later sessions account for the missing people, parasite treatment, and morning-duty follow-up. Crispin’s identity and Auraxx theft are now tracked separately from the surviving Malthrek household. Parasite extraction did not complete the Duke’s treatment. He and the Duchess need to remain near their daughter-in-law Sister Kate for ongoing care. Their growing closeness and Kate’s pregnancy also give the Duchess personal reasons to stay; her presence is not solely a medical necessity. Neither the treatment’s lasting consequences nor the missing court wizards are settled. The submarine report is a lead rather than an identification of a particular missing wizard.
