Robert Maidenfeld
Robert Maidenfeld is a member of the Maidenfeld family and master of accounts for the Maidenfeld Spice Company. He is married to Laudine Maidenfeld née Rannek. His older brother, Steven Maidenfeld, oversees the company’s fleet.
Accounts and Commerce
Section titled “Accounts and Commerce”Robert works from the company’s offices near the harbor of Maiden’s Port. His responsibilities place him within the family’s spice business and its dealings with employees, producers, and trading partners. His marriage also connects the household to the Ranneks and Laudine’s fashion and cosmetics businesses.
The Maiden’s Field Crisis
Section titled “The Maiden’s Field Crisis”Robert received Angel and Gwyniviere Rannek when they sought assistance rescuing their father. Initially skeptical of an eleven-year-old envoy, he heard Angel distinguish her duty to her father and the Rannek Marches from any obligation to serve the Maidenfelds themselves.
The visitors warned him that Crispin Mallow intended to destroy the family and retained access to Laudine’s home. Robert resolved to warn the Baron and other relatives. Laudine was safe with him, but the danger to her household staff remained unresolved.
Robert expressed disbelief that travel to and from the Feywild was possible. Unlike Steven, he did not inherit yellow eyes; amid the crisis, he lamented that absence and his own sense of helplessness.
