The Seneran Wars of Succession was a series of interconnected civil wars that lasted from 675 to 690 AI caused by the death of ‘Irekgral the Steadfast.
Background
Section titled “Background”‘Irekgral the Steadfast, born Julius Maidenfeld, continued the controversial attempt at excising the portions of Seneran culture that were influenced by the Kalassarian Empire, and return to what was recently rediscovered as the “true” Seneran culture. Like his paternal great grandmother, Thralwen I who began this campaign of cultural purism, he took a regnal name reconstructed from words from the Early Hickic language. Unlike Thralwen I, however, ‘Irekgral was heavy-handed in his efforts. This made his new policies very unpopular with the nobility, and the Orthodox Church of the Divine Masochist.
