Snow Skalla

Sonora Skalla, known by her friends as Snow, is a hexblood associated with Gerta Moon’s Boarding School and the Hags of Hama. She is identified in the Gerta Moon accounts as the holder of the Spirit of the Rain.

Snow was one of the younger students at Gerta Moon’s Boarding School in Sanery. Her parents had converted to the Reformist movement and intended to surrender or sell her to the church before Gerta intervened. This history made Snow particularly fearful around religious language and Reformist associations, and accounts repeatedly describe her as shy, easily distressed, and quick to cry when religion was discussed.

Among the students, Snow was known as an aspiring painter. She especially liked landscapes and was noted for hands that often smelled faintly of charcoal or lead. School records describe her as the smallest of the girls, with dark brown hair, pale yellow eyes, and a tendency to bruise easily.

Snow was part of the group forced to leave Sanery after Reformists attempted to seize both the students and the magical resources guarded by Gerta Moon and Atomina Russell. The relocation toward Sentimental Island failed when the students’ vessel capsized in a storm, leading to their rescue by the Rozenmaiden. Later records place her alongside Lime Schulze, Luana Victorique Dubreuil, Sigrid the Netweaver, Bianca Bentayga, Melki, and Fawn Plaisir.

After the undead attacks on Sentimental Island, Snow was among the girls brought to the bog for the Parade of Spirits. Later records place her with Dominguez Tailleur during the same period, before the group’s displacement into the Feydark.
