The ring was recovered during the party’s investigation of the burned grove and logging-site compound tied to the Reformist route near Castle Malthrek. Miya found it while scanning the ruined carts, carriages, crates, and trade goods with Detect Magic; the ring survived on a desiccated burned right hand and carried an evocation signature.
The signet appeared to mark a member or honored affiliate of the guild. Its presence connected the Northcross trade-goods clue and the Fruit Merchants Guild to the Reformist site, though whether the guild itself was compromised, an individual guild member was involved, or the signet had been misused remained unresolved.
