Pecorine

Pecorine is a succubus and occult investigator associated with the Ministry of the Occult. She is best known for her work with Anton Lightning during the Sea Hags affair in Raibon, where the two helped thwart an attack on the Meeting of the Four and became involved in efforts to protect Benoit Marconne from Rosemunda Parvese’s designs.

Pecorine was later counted among the specialists brought into investigations connected to the Green Lord ruins and the strange orb recovered during the Vengeful affair. She was described as small, horned, pointy-eared, heavily pierced, and unmistakably infernal in appearance.

Raibon

During the Sea Hags affair, Pecorine and Anton were present around the political negotiations among Raibon’s factions. When a bombing attempt threatened the meeting venue, the pair helped stop the attack before it could disrupt the proceedings.

Pecorine also met Benoit Marconne during the Chicken Chase game connected to the gathering. Benoit, eager to experience friendship outside the Parvese Houses of Pleasures, became enamored with her and made a wager that would guarantee a later meeting whether he won or lost. He lost, and therefore met Pecorine and Anton for lunch while wearing a chinchilla costume.

The lunch led Pecorine and Anton to recognize that Benoit was not simply another Parvese employee. He was a sheltered boy who wanted ordinary companionship, while Rosemunda’s control over him kept him emotionally isolated. The pair planned to invite him to a Mirian Trading Company Fight Night, where they could warn him that Rosemunda intended to use his body in her scheme for renewed youth and inheritance.

Occult Observations

Pecorine’s occult knowledge also appears in the Bouillard discussions after the Meeting of the Four. When Renault II Bouillard spoke about Daniel Bouillard’s magic-induced narcolepsy, Pecorine suggested that the condition might indicate a connection to Dreams, perhaps even that Daniel had become a cleric of Dreams.

Vengeful Affair

During the Vengeful affair, Mystine Nightingale arrived with Anton and Pecorine as reinforcements for the allied investigation. Mystine then teleported the two back to the ruins for work connected to the orb.

Pecorine’s nature became a subject of practical concern among the allies. She was identified as a succubus whose sustenance was tied to life energy and intimacy rather than blood. The details of that need remained unsettled, but the distinction mattered because it separated her from simpler vampiric explanations and from crude misunderstandings about meat or organs. Later speculation also placed Anton and Pecorine near the Moreaux mushroom trail, though their exact involvement in that matter remained uncertain.
