Green Barrel
Green Barrel is a ruined village in Maiden’s Field, in Senera. It was the childhood home of Crispin Mallow, whose parents were Lilandra and Tempo Mallow. The village lies about a week’s caravan journey from Rannekford.
Crispin Mallow burned Green Barrel. The local magistrates’ official account attributed its destruction to bandits. Its former agricultural fields are now overgrown, with broken dikes and thick mud turning portions of the paths into quagmires. A dilapidated house stands among the ash-covered remains of other buildings, where mushrooms and vegetation have begun to reclaim the settlement.
An underground laboratory beneath the settlement held the preserved body of Tempo Mallow. Uther Rannek was imprisoned there by the adult Crispin. After Crispin’s return to childhood, his memories of home guided the expedition that returned to Green Barrel in search of his journal.
