Lance Rannek
Lance Rannek is a Seneran nobleman of Rannek, son of Uther Rannek and Maria Rannek, and brother of Angel Rannek. He appears chiefly in connection with Angel’s return to Rannek and the crisis around the Bishop of Rannek.
Bishop of Rannek
Section titled “Bishop of Rannek”Angel’s messages to her parents state that she and Lance returned to Rannek and headed together to the Bishop of Rannek. The same Rannek episode involved the rescue of Magnus Bramok, the Bishop of Rannek, from a cursed token and the discovery of Reformist activity connected to Sister Rislas. Lance and Angel entered the bishop’s room during the investigation.1
Travel With Angel
Section titled “Travel With Angel”Lance is also associated with the Malterdale leg of Angel’s journey. His horse was named Gawain, and Angel later bought a Malterdale souvenir mug customized for “Lance and Gawain.” The same travel sequence placed Angel, Sir Brastok, and allied retainers under disguise while Reformists sought the Emerald Shield shard in Angel’s possession.2
