    • Heads back to Malterdale with Brastok and Branrum Malterdale
    • Reached Port-Sera-by-Malterdale early
    • On the caravan to Malterdale:
      • Angel found a reformist related to Rislas
      • Sir Brastok turned into a hawk to listen in on the reformist
      • Angel talkeed about Perona Thralbel and how she had suitors for her daughter’s hand compete in some sort of business competition.
      • Brastok confirms that the reformist was looking for them, probably searching for the emerald green shard.
      • They take a room in the Wayfarer’s Inn between Port Sera and Fort Malterdale to be able to disguise themselves.
        • Branrum Malterdale is made to look like a scraggy ship captain.
        • Sir Brastok is given some moisturizer and some contouring to make him look more like the son of a merchant.
        • Angel mentions a classmate Cezanne, rides horses

    • They are about to enter Fort Malterdale, as it is on the way to the Maltreks.
    • Duchess Malthrek seems to have taken a liking to Lime due to her claim as the daughter of Germaine and Adelaide Schulze.
      • She is, in fact, a Schulze, but not of the same branch as Germaine and Adelaide. Germaine is her father’s second cousin.
      • She mentions the Battlements Inn, as well as the ruins of a tower atop it.
      • She mentions about the image of the Green Lord on the stained glass window.
      • She talked about the Emerald Shield of Spring, that was given to the local Hick tribe, but was shattered.
      • They talk about the Malthrek children, their marriage prospects, and the Duchesses past.
        • She tells Lime that Luke is the one to marry, her eldest, to Pallia Travertine
          • She includes the importance of the Travertines itself to the security of the Maltreks, it being the “portal to the Maltreks”.
        • She mentions that Mark is about to be formally betrothed to Gwyniviere Rannek soon
        • She implies that Lime may be a good match for John, as she is a Schulze
        • She mentions that Matthew is currently a student at the University of Thrantorbury.
    • There is a long line of carriages and horses waiting to enter the fort, as the guards were supposedly ensuring that no one suspicious may enter after Fort Malterdale’s keep was infiltrated by Reformists.
      • Andrew was asked to inform the outpost that they carried the Duchess of Malthrek. and needed immediate entry.
        • It turns out that a number of guards are actually Reformists, but the commanding officer of the outpost was not. Either way, they would be granted entry without trouble, as Andrew carried a ducal seal.
    • They head to the Battlement Inn to rest
  • 1275-09-13
    • They reach Fort Malterdale
    • They entered through West Gate. Angel recognized one of the guards as one of the monks that were with Father Renaldi and the other fake members of the Anger of Civilization that they encountered the last time they were at the Battlements Inn. Luckily, they were not recognized
    • they head to the Fort Malterdale Keep Gift Shop
    • Angel buys a mug that says “Welcome to Malterdale”, and had it cust,omized To say “Welcome to Malterdale, Lance and Gawain”.
    • They report to Viscount Malterdale, who was in the Great Chamber of the Keep, listening to a set of petitioners for Malterdale’s eastern frontier.
      • Petitioners were requesting that the viscount send help, as there a spate of crop failures, and disappearances of livestock and children in the area.
    • Planning on how to leave Fort Malterdale without being seen by Reformists in Kenny Dodgers Roasters
      • Being in Kenny Dodgers is so that any potential watchers would believe that Angel is in Malterdale and intends to leave for the Travertines with Branrum.
      • They intend to bring Alice’s daughter, Cassie, as Angel’s decoy.
      • Branrum convinces Alice to allow them by offering a 10% salary increase, and the do not tell her that they will dress her like Angel.
      • Angel will leave with Sir Brastok on a separate horse
      • Branrum will ride the carriage with Cassie and a guard made to look like Sir Brastok.
    • After they leave Kenny Dodgers, they return to the Keep
      • They encounter some guards about to report the arrival of Duchess Malthrek.
      • They alter the plan so that Branrum, and Cassie, disguised as Angel, will join the Duchess’s caravan, but in a separate carriage.
        • They will do so with the Duchess’s permission, but will only join them after the caravan begins to leave, so they can limit contact.
      • Sir Brastok and Angel re-apply their disguises as Matthias and Lilibeth Corning. Branrum will disguise Cassie to look like Angel.
      • Brastok and Angel goes to the Daisy, another inn in Malterdale, to wait for sunset to leave by horse to the Travertines separately as planned.
  • 1275-09-13
    • They head to the Battlement Inn to rest
      • The Duchess leads Lime to the ruins, and to the stained glass window.
      • She asks Lime about what she thinks of the Reformists
        • Lime says she doesn’t yet have an opinion on them, but she is curious, especially since her friends at St. Philomena’s have started to worship at the Reformist churches.
        • The Duchess mentions that the Reformists don’t have a prohibition on magic
        • She mentions to Lime that she has something to show her at the Travertines, after they meet her “parents”
        • They go to the Noble Apartments within the Battlements Inn to rest
      • Tiphanie, in her cat form, follows the Duchess into her room to spy on her.
        • The Duchess strips bare, and sits on the carpeted floor, holding a clear orb that shines with a white light or her left hand, and a magical device on her right hand. It seemed to be a sending spell device.
        • The Duchess then moves to the desk, still naked, holding the orb still, but a different device: a magical cipher wheel.
          • She receives a coded message: “The Rannek girl is missing, but we know she has two shards.”
        • The Duchess proceeds to move to her bed after getting a nine-tailed whip from her pack, and self-flagellates while masturbating with the orb.
        • She takes a bath afterward.
        • A servant knocks on the door, giving the Duchess a message from Branrum Malterdale:
          • He requests that he and Angel Rannek join their caravan as they head to the Travertines for the wedding of Luke Malthrek and Pallia Travertine.
          • The Duchess agrees to let them join the caravan, and asks the servant to inform Branrum that they will be leaving mid-afternoon.
        • She writes and sends an encyphered message to someone, telling them that Angel, is in fact, in Malterdale. She tells them that she must be dealt with en route.
        • She then dresses and begins to prepare for departure.
        • Tiphanie leaves at the same time as the Duchess, to report to Lime.
      • Lime and the others discuss what Tiphanie saw. They will continue as planned.
      • They leave the Battlement Inn to head to the Travertines.
      • Branrum and Cassie’s carriage joins the caravan as they exit the East Gate.
      • The Duchess says, she intends to meet with Angel as they take a break at Malterford.
