Tower Built from Pain

poetry

Measured to precision
Picking up each block
Done with indecision
On each drop, a pock

Layered with derision
Constructed with elision
With bone as a foundation
Ground skulls to paste for adhesion

Erecting a bold piece
The tower these words mold
Floors riddled with disease
Shaped by grief as scaffold

A monumental masterpiece
Created to perfection
Yet underneath, behind the grease
A painful connotation
